For a couple of northeasterners who’ve spent their entire lives in a place where the saying “April showers bring May flowers” is considered a universal truth, seeing wildflowers pop all over southern California through February and into March is a real treat.
Great photos! Where is this? Be well and safe travels, Ann and Jerry

The photos were taken at various places throughout southern California. The coastal shot is of Morrow Bay.

Look quick! Everything is brown by May. I just love Morro Bay and the coast north of there, all the way up to the Oregon border.

Beautiful photos! Makes me wish we had some of that action here in the Midwest. The landscape here is very dull and lifeless.

Nice! The Hwy 1 “Big Sur Coast” 137 miles between Morro Bay and Monterey is stunning, with abundant flowers and spectacular views. “Must see”. You’ll need to park around Morro Bay and day-trip in your toad–road is too twisty for your big rig. Happy travels.

Love the fowers. Right now, I’m waiting for the crocus to pop through the snow. That’s the first sign of spring.

I love spring! Here in Germany we’re still waiting for the schizophrenic weather to figure out what it wants to do…. Hard for an Arizona girl, whose flip flops and tank tops are dying to come out of the closet!

The bluebonnets are just starting to bloom in South Central Texas. Spring is here. I lived in Pacific Grove for a year. The wild flowers were (and evidently still are) gorgeous.
