        Enjoyed those posts too! Now if you could only get there without the whold drive through ND. But I’m not being fair. I’m sure there are other worthwhile things in the state. And since I’ve not been there, it would be especially evil of me to malign the entire state!

    It truly is an amazing place and one that inspired Theodore Roosevelt to tap his full potential. Your post is also timely. The peaceful site of TR’s Elkhorn Ranch site is under threat by an individual who plans to open a mine across the river. TR biographer Edmund Morris made the case for preserving the site in the NY Times op-ed last month. You can find it here:
